Violets are red, Roses are blue
When did it change, this shift in hue?
Violence is red, and thicker than You
Sing to me softly, inside peace imbue.
Tethered and chained, my back to the wall
How can I stand, let alone crawl?
Rose up to find, protect and defend me
My be all and end all, for You I would fall.

I wrote this after being inspired by TheTimidWildOne's deviation: [link] <-- click please.
What she said about blue roses.. being a symbol of the imagination, a dream, really set something off and I typpled it down immediately (type-scribbled, that is, the typing-into-windows-notepad equivalent of scribbling-down-onto-paper)

Comments on the poem are definitely encouraged, as to me this poem feels incomplete, but I want to know what you all think..
